What is the D.O.G.?
The D.O.G. stands for the Day of Giving. At its heart, our Day of Giving is a full 24 hours dedicated to raising funds for student scholarships.
When is the D.O.G.?
Tuesday, May 1, 2018
Why do we have a D.O.G.?
The scholarships that the D.O.G. funds are meant to help increase enrollment and help to retain students on campus. These two areas of enrollment and retention are key to supporting our campus through the current budget issues.
How can I help spread the word?
Tell everyone you know! Together, our social circles can have an amazing reach. So hit RSVP for the Facebook event. Share on social media with #UWSPGivesBack. Email. Text. Or EVEN, and now we’re really getting crazy, give your Pointer friends a good old fashioned PHONE CALL!
Is there a minimum gift amount?
No. Every single gift, no matter the size, can make a difference. Every gift made on the D.O.G. count.
How will my gift help?
Your gift can be designated anywhere, but we are asking specifically for funds raised for the D.O.G. scholarship fund. This general fund supports students in hopes to continue supporting them throughout their education at UWSP. Scholarships create opportunity for students where there wasn’t before. With 46% of our students being first generation, scholarships help support and create opportunities for our Pointer family. Scholarships also help with recruitment and retention, which matter now more than ever.
Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes. Your gift is tax deductible.
How can I participate?
By joining in on the fun on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, either in person or online and by making a gift. There is no end to the fun that is possible and the difference we can make.
