What is the D.O.G.?
D.O.G. stands for Day of Giving. At its heart, our Day of Giving is a full 24 hours dedicated to raising funds for student scholarships and celebrating our love for UWSP.
When is the D.O.G.?
Tuesday, May 4, 2021
Why do we have a D.O.G.?
The scholarships that the D.O.G. funds are designed to help increase enrollment and retain students. These two areas of enrollment and retention are key to helping the university navigate current budgetary issues.
How can I participate?
By joining in on the fun on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 and by making a gift. There is no shortage of fun ways to get involved and give back.
Is there a minimum gift amount?
No. Every single gift, no matter the size, makes a difference. Every gift made on the D.O.G. counts.
How will my gift help?
Your gift creates opportunities for our Pointer family. Nearly half of the student body at UWSP consists of first generation scholars—a population that benefits greatly from scholarship support. Scholarships also help with recruitment and retention, which matter now more than ever. So while your gift can be designated for any purpose, we ask specifically for funds toward scholarships.
Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes, your gift is tax deductible.
How can I help spread the word?
Social circles can have an amazing reach, so tell everyone you know in every conceivable manner! Like the Facebook D.O.G. page. Spread the word on social media using the hashtag #UWSPGivesBack. Send an email or text, or EVEN (and now we’re really getting crazy) give your Pointer friends a good old fashioned PHONE CALL!
